May Beauty Favourites

With a blink of an eye May has gone, I have been looking back at what I have discovered this month and thought I would share my new discoveries in this May beauty favourites.

Colour WOW Dream Coat

I don’t know how this one has slipped past me for so long. I have shared my hair issues with you in past blogs so imagine finding a product that really does protect your hair from humidity? This simple spray is applied to your hair and lasts 2-3 washes. No more frizz, no more hair shrinkage!

This spray says it magically transforms your hair texture and has amazing humidity-proofing qualities by adding an invisible waterproofing cloak. I can 100% vouch for that!

I have put this to the test over last week, the weather has been humid and hot as well as perfectly English rain and my hair as been smooth and straight, not even a hint of curls even after sleeping. My only watch out for this product is when you apply it to your hair it does not have the silky slip that you feel from other products but when it has been dried it feels fine. I also used a styling creme over the top so you are able to still layer your regular products. They do recommend that you use a styler or tong to seal the Dream Coat into the hair.

To recap – this product will make your hair immune to humidity!

8/10 – My hair did not feel soft after applying.

Marcelle BB Creme

As I am getting older I am finding it harder to find a foundation that suits my skin. I find if I use a full cover foundation I look and feel like I am wearing too much make-up. I have been on the look out for a light cover that has the dewy fresh face, just stepped out of a yoga class look.

My last foundation was the new YSL Touche Eclait all in one glow foundation, this made my skin feel really greasy and not at all dewy! I found that my mascara slipped as there was so much oil in the product and I ended up applying much more powder, which really defeated the what I wanted to achieve.

Then I found the Marcelle BB creme, to be honest I thought that it would not give the coverage that I needed but as soon as I applied it I knew I had found a new fav! This multi-tasking BB cream got me much closer to my goal — and with minimal effort. It hydrates and calms skin, evens tone, controls shine, lightly masks imperfections, and, thanks to tiny flecks of light-reflecting pigments, infuses skin with a fresh-from the-yoga-studio radiance. It is oil free, my make-up did not slip and it felt great all day.

10/10 – In love, Bade news is that it’s out of stock, but I will share as soon as I find a new supply!

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless filter

Again with my quest to find the perfect products for dewy skin I wanted to give this a go. I was sold on the fact it told me that it would be jus as good as my favourite digital filter! I don’t want to look like I’m trying to hard and I’m not into conturing. I have noticed a lot of young girls are wearing so much conturing that they look a bit like the tin man from The Wizard of OZ and was worried that this would give me that effect. What I liked is that I could wear it under foundation, as my foundation or as a hi-lighter.

I was not disappointed, although the bottle is massive so it might go off before i get to use it all. It comes with a great soft applicator so you are able to lightly dab onto the areas that you want to hi-light. I am mainly using it on my check bones and just under my eyebrows. I have tried it as a foundation but was not for me (tin man issues)

9/10 – Bottle too big

I hope you enjoyed my review, I will always be honest I promise!
Let me know if you have tired these are have some favourites to share.

All products tried this month were bought by myself and not sponsored.
