The It list event with ghd
September 4th was a very special day for ghd, it’s our 7th year sponsoring the Creative Head IT LIST awards and the first reveal of the ghd queens and the all important Queen Makers.
During the summer we have been really busy shooting bringing to life the new ghd brand campaign and I am super happy to share the first glimpse of the campaign.
As we know if your hair looks amazing you feel amazing…. you feel like a Queen and no Queen is complete without her Queen Maker which is the hairdresser!
The event is all about celebrating the success of the hairdressing industry from young up and coming stylists to the Icons of the industry. The ghd Queens welcomed the guests for pre drinks in the amazing Natural History Museum in London, this felt very at home for our regal Queens. The beautiful ghd queens who were styled on the day by myself, Amy Sontae, Dafydd Thomas, Luke Benson, clothes styling by the Uber talented Boo Attwood and making the Queen complete Claire Evans Make-up. Our #ghdqueenmakers
First up was the IT list which ghd sponsors and gifted all 30 IT list finalists with their very own Platinum + personalised styler….. did I mention we have just launched a new product? During the day we made a little teaser video with the fabulous Creative Head Queen – Queen Amanda Nottage where the ghd Queen Maker Luke Benson arrived to style Amanda’s hair. It include Champagne, face masks and Luke declaring Amanda a drama Queen.
As the evening continued Amanda was escorted to the stage by the ghd Queens and the night began!
It was a fabulous evening with amazing company and to make the evening complete our very own Zoe Irwin won the Creative Talent award which she so deserved. I am so thank you to have such an amazing talent and friend like Zoe to work with, she puts her heart and soul into the industry supporting new talent. This was such an amazing moment for me personally as Zoe thanked me on stage for my support during the years and said their is always a great woman behind a woman. For me this is what girl power is, supporting each other and not trying to get one over on your fellow female.
More to follow on the new must have ghd product and the Queen makers on tour!
