It’s that time of year again where Hollywood comes out to play for the Annual Golden Globes Awards. It’s all about the hair, make-up and the dress. But this year it also took another twist…. Hollywood leading ladies made a protest with black dresses ruling the red carpet at Sunday’s Golden Globes in a show of solidarity for the mission of anti-sexual harassment group “Time’s Up”.

Go Girls!

The star-studded ceremony also saw winners, including Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman and Laura Derm, using their time on the podium to thank the brave women who spoke out against abuse. This was an empowering night that will never be forgotten.

WHO: Margot Robbie

HAIR BY: Celebrity Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett for ghd

This was the first time outing for the new ghd gold styler. Margot’s lob got another make over showing us that you can have shorter versatile hair. The hair is tucked behind one ear to open the face and give a peek-a-boo shape enhancing the cheek bones.

This mid-kinked wave is produced by rotating the styler away from the face whilst pushing down the hair leaving a modern fresh straighter end. ghd’s new gold gives sleeker, smoother hair and this really shows off the luxury finish.

We witnessed a nod to the 60’s at this awards, with many actresses wearing bouffant volume at the crown. I loved this gym to red carpet version of the sports luxe trend. The twisted kinked waves felt like they had been taken down from a braid. This really combined the glamour and undone texture.

To get the look, backcomb the roots on the crown with a teasing brush, lightly surface brush before securing the ponytail. `Using the ghd Creative curl wand twist large and small sections of hair around the wand to get the undone texture.
