Welcome to my blog, I have been obsessed with hair all my life and have 30 years’ hair industry experience, I have owned by own salon, I have been on art teams, worked on TV and for  a large global brand, but the one thing that ties this together is my love of hair.

One of the best ways for us to stay in touch is to subscribe to my email list, you will be the first to hear of updates, freebies and launches. I love staying in contact with you and this always us to really get to know each other.

You will find me drinking gin, I am happy when I am skiing, I am a self confessed crazy cat lady and I love challenge.
You will never find me at a football match, I’m not much of a cook but I am good roller skater!

This is me

From starting as a Saturday girl I was hooked, the hair industry was a shining light that I felt that I belonged to. I started  YTS (apprentice) and my first real experience was visiting Salon International 1988, I remembered sitting and watching shows and aspiring to one day being on stage there too.

I spent time learning my craft, searching for a place that challenged me and somewhere that I felt gave me my thirst for knowledge. I was lucky to be exposed to the 365 hair culture and loved the ethos behind it. This really did give me my foundation to hair.

I have traveled the world teaching hair, it has taken me to live abroad, I have been exposed to many brands that have each taught me something. I have learnt that to do nothing is moving backwards, mistakes are learnings and the future is always changing. I don’t have a crystal ball but I am always watching, searching and learning.

I have been at ghd for 8 years, where I have worked as Head of Education UK & ROI, responsible for the UK education team as well as founding the ghd Style Squad and ghd Graduate Styling Programme which was nominated for the British Hairdressing Business Awards.

Finally progressing to Global Head of Education for ghd, within this role I worked on brand positioning for global education, education material and global hair campaigns as well as travelling the world teaching ghd. The brand has become an extended family and my team amaze me every day with their passion and enthusiasm.

And now it’s a new chapter where I am here serving you with all my years of experience.

I am excited to share my career with you, hopefully inspiring young stylists to join the industry. I have had a wonderful career and very grateful for what the life that the world of hair has given me.
